My trip to the Škoda Museum in Mlada Boleslav was a already over a month ago, but I never got a chance to post pictures from the visit. Needless to say, there were a lot of cool cars, since Škoda has a pretty rich history, especially in racing.
Lots of rally cars.
This awesome display contained 20 cars.
The steps to restoring an old car.
Mmm... 130RS.
Škoda actually started out making bikes.
This was the depository, where Škoda keeps old concept cars and prototypes.
I also got to visit the nearby factory, where I saw body panels being stamped and cars being assembled on the production line. I couldn’t take pictures, but I can tell you, the amount of exposure to the process is probably unparalleled in the U.S. (because safety and stuff). I was literally able to walk within feet of cars being assembled, workers eating lunch, and even emergency shutdown switches (!).

Looks like the same car. I believe it was also in some old vampire movie. You should have seen how to get in!

Yep, details on Youtube say “Upír z Feratu” (1981). Looks cool. Shows how to enter it too...

Fantastic. I’ve got to get out there sometime.
I love our Skoda.
In fact we finally got her back from the body repair shop on Friday. Three ruddy weeks to replace two door skins and a door sill (argument with a bollard, bollard won) and paint them but the work look well done.

If you do, definitely go on the factory tour.

Seeing that Felicia hatchback in such shape is unheard of. Today you cannot find one that isn’t rusted out or beaten up. Was the depository accessible by public? Last time I went there I remember being excited about all the prototypes but there was nothing else except for normal production cars.

Depository was open to public but unmarked.
